Big-batch cocktails are a great make-ahead party trick, but it’s also fun to play bartender for a bit and shake drinks to order. This boozy, slightly bitter concoction has just a few ingredients, so it’s easy to shake together in no time.

"One of my favorite drinks from the Death & Co. bar in New York City, this riff on a Last Word is a perfect fall drink for those who enjoy more bitter or sour libations. The amaro lends a bitter citrus flavor, but the other components make sure to round off the drink with warm, smooth bourbon notes and some really bright, sour citrusy highlights. Best enjoyed on a patio or your porch on a crisp evening."
